The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, one of the oldest departments at GTBIT since its inception in 1999, has been imparting quality technical education to the students aspiring for a career in this field. Electronics and Communication Engineering which broadly covers electronics manufacturing systems, telecommunications, computing, design, Research & Development and many more, offers numerous opportunity pathways for graduates, to pursue a successful and exciting career. With programs like Digital India and Make in India and rapid expansion in the technologies like 5G and AI, opportunities in the Electronics and Communication sector are bound to grow.

With the highest package of 45 LPA, our students are placed in the top companies like Amazon, Infosys, DXC, TCS, HCL, Wipro, and ZS Associates. Many students are setting up & running their start-ups and many others are pursuing higher studies from reputed international universities abroad.

The department has high-end research oriented labs with the latest state-of-the-art equipment in almost all areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering such as Internet of Things, Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, Communication Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Digital System Design, VLSI design, Satellite and Mobile communication, and Embedded Systems labs.

Numerous professional activities are organized in the department such as Tech-Fest, Hackathons, Seminars, Conferences, Workshops, and Industrial Visits to help students learn the latest developments in their field, beyond their curriculum.
