Session of MathWorks Suite of Products
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT), organized a demonstration session on the MathWorks Suite of Products on 12 August 2026 in LAB-8 (Smart Room). The session was conducted by DesignTech Systems, with the objective of introducing faculty members and participants to the latest industry-oriented applications of MATLAB and Simulink across engineering, applied sciences, and research domains.
The resource persons provided a
comprehensive overview of the MATLAB and Simulink ecosystem, highlighting
various licensing options and the benefits of adopting the Campus-Wide Suite. The session
demonstrated how MATLAB and Simulink can effectively bridge the gap between
theoretical concepts and practical implementation.
The demonstration covered important
application areas, including Artificial
Intelligence and Machine Learning, Robotics and Automation, Signal and Image
Processing, IoT and Embedded Systems, Control Systems, Electric Vehicles, Data
Analytics, and Simulation. Faculty members gained valuable insights into
the tools, toolboxes, and simulation capabilities available for teaching,
research, laboratory development, and project-based learning.
The session was coordinated under
the guidance of Dr. Gurmeet Singh, HOD,
ECE, with Ms. Shivani Duggal and
Dr. Mahender Singh as Faculty Coordinators, along with Mr. Harvinder Singh.
Overall, the demonstration was
informative and highly beneficial, providing participants with an opportunity
to explore advanced computational and simulation tools that can strengthen
academic learning, research activities, and industry-oriented education in the
department.
