Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is a branch of study that deals with scientific methodologies, processes, and techniques drawn from different domains like statistics, cognitive science, computing and information science to extract knowledge from structured & unstructured data. Over the past few years, data science careers have undoubtedly been one of the top choices for young professionals. The job of a data scientist has become a new trend across the world, as data-driven decision-making is increasing in popularity. Data scientists bring skills sets and knowledge from various backgrounds such as mathematics, statistics, analytics, modelling and business acumen.

Emphasis is given to Predictive Analytics using Data Visualization, Big Data Analytics, Natural Language Processing, Artificial Neural Networks, Augmented Reality & Virtual Reality, Cognitive Computing, Deep Learning, and Robotic Process Automation
The department takes immense interest in conducting professional activities such as workshops, seminars and expert lectures to meet the challenges of the IT industry.
This department has robust computer labs with fully equipped IBM computers, featuring the latest software and internet facilities. Student computer ratio is 1:1.

Greeting from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) . The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology, has made advancements in many spheres since the inception of GTBIT in 1999. It is well-equipped with excellent academic and research facilities to produce quality Engineers. We emphasise on students’ holistic growth through innovative teaching methods, result-oriented knowledge through regular exposure to industry, seminars and expert lectures which helps in bridging the gap between the education and real time industry demands. The vision of the Department is to shape the career of our young technocrats in today’s fast-changing world.
