Ashke Bhangra Crew (earlier known as the Bhangra Lions), the Bhangra Society of Gtbit has been representing the college since the very beginning. The present team is lead by Baljit Singh Bagga( 2015-19 CSE) and mentored by Professor Gurpreet Kaur and Professor Kanwarjeet Singh. With the aim to win the hearts of our audiences and the vision to revolutionize Bhangra, Ashke Bhangra participates in several competitions both at university and at national level competitions. We also serve a number of events, workshops and corporate gigs throughout the year. At the outset of our journey as Ashke Bhangra Crew, our passion for bhangra further culminated in the formation of Ashke Bhangra youtube channel which turned out to be a great success(56,000+ subscribers and a total viewership of over 12 million till date). With the team’s dedication, good leadership, and mentorship we win many competitions every season. Our passion for bhangra keeps us going every day at the practices. GTBIT’s director, Mrs. Rominder Kaur Randhawa, and the whole management have always supported us. Without the overwhelming support, we could never have achieved so much. Preserving our rich culture and feeding our souls, Bhangra, we believe, will keep the pious roots alive.
