The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces with its headquarters in New Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis as a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, engaged in developing the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The soldier youth foundation in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, higher secondary, colleges and universities all over India. The cadets are given basic military training in small arms and drill. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course.
The National Cadet Corps at Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology offers a vibrant, disciplined and stimulated NCC program. We comply strongly with all the aims of NCC and adhere closely to its MOTO ‘UNITY AND DISCIPLINE’.
Our Institute has NCC unit for boys. It is associated with 6DBN, Kirti Nagar with total strength of a company i.e 160 Seats.

Team Building and Leadership Adventure Camp
Location: NIM, Uttarkashi
Duration: 24th June 2025 – 3rd July 2025
CQMS Hemang Vats, a cadet of Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology, successfully attended the Team Building and Leadership Adventure Camp held at the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM), Uttarkashi, from 24th June 2025 to 3rd July 2025. The camp was an initiative aimed at fostering discipline, leadership qualities, and a strong sense of teamwork among cadets.
During the camp, he actively participated in a series of structured activities, including obstacle courses, trekking, survival training, group discussions, problem-solving exercises, and leadership drills. These activities were specifically designed to build confidence, enhance decision-making skills, and promote effective communication and cooperation within a team.
Through his enthusiastic participation, CQMS Hemang Vats demonstrated dedication, perseverance, and leadership, truly reflecting the spirit of the National Cadet Corps and its motto, “Unity and Discipline.” His involvement in this camp has further strengthened his leadership abilities and serves as an inspiration for fellow cadets to continue striving for excellence in all spheres of NCC training.
Annual Training Camp (ATC)

Duration: 18th August 2025 – 27th August 2025

This ethos was truly embodied at the Annual Training Camp (ATC) 2025, held at NCC Bhawan, Rohini, where 521 cadets from four companies gathered to train, compete, and grow in the spirit of leadership and service. Among them, GTBIT cadets distinguished themselves through exemplary performance and responsibility.

India–Bhutan Youth Friendship Camp (IBYFC)

This spirit of leadership and cross-cultural harmony was exemplified at the India–Bhutan Youth Friendship Camp (IBYFC), held at the prestigious Officers Training Academy (OTA), Gaya, from 10th to 18th September 2025. The camp served as a platform for young delegates of both nations to foster international friendship, leadership, and mutual respect through diverse cultural and intellectual exchanges.
Junior Under Officer Arpan Yadav from Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT) proudly represented India as the Media Lead, showcasing exceptional communication skills and responsibility. His role involved documenting key moments of the camp and representing India’s narrative with clarity and pride on an international stage.
Arpan’s participation went far beyond his official role. He delivered an impressive Country Presentation, highlighting India’s rich heritage and unity in diversity. His intellectual excellence shone through when he secured the 1st Prize in the Quiz Competition, earning admiration from fellow delegates and officers alike. Arpan also embraced cultural diplomacy by actively participating in dance and cultural performances, fostering camaraderie and celebrating Indo-Bhutanese friendship through art and tradition.

Cadet Harman Singh and Senior Under Officer Himanshu Choudhary from Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology proudly represented their college at TSC 2025. Harman Singh excelled in the Health and Hygiene event, demonstrating sharp awareness, compelling presentations, and a genuine commitment to cadet well-being that earned him widespread respect. Meanwhile, Himanshu Choudhary showcased his prowess in the Map Reading competition, navigating complex terrain with remarkable accuracy and strategic thinking, impressing both peers and instructors with his leadership.

"Case Manthan: A Cadet Case Challenge," organized by the Delhi Technological University's (DTU) National Cadet Corps (NCC). It focuses on innovation, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving, particularly within the defense sector. The event, part of SAAMANT '25, aims to encourage cadets to develop and present solutions to real-world challenges.
Cadets of GTBIT NCC recently participated in the annual NCC fest SARFAROSHI'24 of Bharati College. Among the various competitions, CPL Ayush Gautam stood out by winning first prize 🏆 in the videography competition 📸. This achievement highlights the diverse talents of GTBIT NCC cadets and their ability to excel in different domains. The participation and success at the fest further enhanced the reputation of GTBIT NCC, reflecting their dedication and skill.
The cadets of GTBIT NCC participated in 'Sports Meet 2024' .The event featured a variety of sports and athletic competitions, showcasing the cadets' skills and teamwork. The cadets took on multiple roles, including piloting, welcoming the guests, and participating in various sports activities. Their dedication and effort were evident, as some cadets even won prizes in the competitions.
Jashan-e-Freshers was a spectacular event dedicated to officially welcoming the new batch of students into Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology. The excitement was palpable as NCC cadets expertly escorted guests, adding a touch of elegance and discipline to the festivities. The day kicked off with vibrant introductions of various college societies, giving freshers a glimpse into the diverse and dynamic community they were joining. 🎤✨
One of the highlights was the thrilling Tug of War competition, hosted by the NCC cadets. The competition ignited a sense of camaraderie and team spirit among the students, making it a memorable and exhilarating experience. The event culminated in a spectacular dance performance that brought everyone together in celebration. The dance floor came alive with students showcasing their moves, creating an atmosphere of joy and unity. In the heart of Jorhat, Assam, the 6 Delhi Battalion NCC cadets, SUO Kirat Singh and JUO Jasmit Singh, embarked on an exhilarating journey at the SNIC NER JORHAT 2024 National Camp. 🌟 Representing our esteemed Delhi Directorate among 17 other directorates, their experience was nothing short of extraordinary.
The adrenaline-pumping Tug of War competition saw our cadets clinching the gold medal with sheer determination and teamwork. The 6DBN flag soared high as they conquered the battleground, showcasing the epitome of strength and unity.
In the realm of artistic expression, our cadets didn't just participate; they left a lasting impression with their mesmerizing Group Dance, securing the 2nd position. The stage lit up with their synchronized moves, weaving a tale of rhythm and grace.
Beyond the physical challenges, SUO Kirat Singh and JUO Jasmit Singh exhibited their intellectual prowess by participating in debates, the National Integration Awareness Program (NIAP), and Group Song competitions. Their versatility shone through as they embraced every aspect of the camp with enthusiasm and zeal.
The camp was not just about competitions; it was a journey of exploration. Our cadets visited iconic places like the Air Force Station Jorhat, Tocklai Tea Research Institute, Tea Garden,Silk Industry, Agricultural area of AAU University, Sivadol Temple, Rang-ghar, and the Science Museum. Each visit added a layer of cultural richness and knowledge to their NCC adventure.
A highlight of the camp was the invaluable opportunity for our cadets to interact with esteemed Commanding Officers and Group Commanders, including a brigadier. These conversations provided insights into leadership, discipline, and the larger vision of the NCC. SUO Kirat Singh and JUO Jasmit Singh soaked in the wisdom, contributing to their growth as responsible and disciplined individuals.
In the grand tapestry of SNIC NER JORHAT 2024 National Camp, our 6 Delhi Battalion NCC cadets emerged not just as participants but as ambassadors of excellence and camaraderie. The memories created in Jorhat will forever be etched in their hearts, serving as a beacon of inspiration for future NCC endeavors. 🌟
On the 5th of May, 2025, Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology witnessed a proud and emotional milestone — the first-batch farewell event organized for the pioneer batch (2022-25) of GTBIT NCC. Hosted within the college premises, this memorable gathering was a tribute to the very first outgoing cadets who laid the foundation for what is becoming a legacy of discipline, leadership, and service.
The event was graced by our esteemed Director, Dr. Rominder Kaur Randhawa, the dedicated ANO Lt. Gurveen Singh Grover, and the Heads of Departments. Their presence added immense value and warmth to the celebration.
The farewell was entirely conceptualized and executed by the 3rd and 2nd-year NCC cadets of GTBIT, showcasing impeccable teamwork, coordination, and affection for their seniors. Special credit goes to JUO Hemang Vats and JUO Sumant Kumar Gupta, who anchored the event seamlessly with grace and energy.
The celebration featured a heartfelt mix of emotion and joy — with touching speeches from Director Ma'am, ANO Sir, and outgoing seniors; a short yet impactful video clip capturing cherished memories from NCC camps; and lively performances including group dances, songs, & poetry. Mementos were presented to the seniors as a token of appreciation, while beautifully potted plants were gifted to Director ma'am and HODs as symbols of growth and gratitude. The event also included a tea break and a warm lunch, allowing everyone to connect informally and relive moments together.
