Luna, the official astronomy society of GTBIT, was established in 2024 with the vision of igniting curiosity and cultivating a scientific temperament among students. “Within a year of its inception, the society has already built a strong presence on campus by blending curiosity for astronomy with creativity and innovation.”
Under the guidance of our convenor, Dr. Archana Dagar, Luna has become one of the most engaging societies within GTBIT. The society regularly conducts diverse activities such as astronomy-themed quizzes, games, and puzzles, designed to blend learning with fun and to spark curiosity about the cosmos among students.
Luna’s focus lies in developing analytical thinking, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills through interactive events that are both informative and enjoyable. By nurturing creativity and curiosity, Luna provides students with opportunities to explore space sciences in a way that is accessible and inspiring, while strengthening the culture of scientific engagement within the college.
Luna’s mission is to spark curiosity, nurture creativity, and cultivate a spirit of scientific inquiry that inspires students to think beyond boundaries.
