The Department of CSE-DS successfully organised an expert talk delivered by Professor Meena Jha, Head, Technology and Pedagogy Centre, School of Engineering and Technology, Central Queensland University, on the topic “AI and its Applications in Health and Education.” The session focused on the practical use of Artificial Intelligence in real-world problem solving, with special emphasis on malaria pathogen detection using deep learning and computer vision models. The speaker also discussed responsible and ethical AI practices, AI-enabled education, and future workforce-aligned curriculum design.
The programme was attended by students and faculty members of the department and was highly interactive and informative. The event significantly contributed to enhancing students’ understanding of applied AI in healthcare and education and supported the department’s objective of promoting industry-relevant and research-oriented learning.
