Component Manufacturing Summit 2026
A group of 28 students from the Electronics and Communication
Engineering (ECE) Department participated in the Bharat Electronics Component
Manufacturing Summit 2026, held on 19 August 2026 in New Delhi, under the theme
“Accelerating India’s Manufacturing Future.” The summit provided an excellent
platform for students to understand the rapidly evolving Indian electronics and
semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.


During the event, students gained valuable exposure to emerging
trends in electronic component manufacturing, semiconductor technologies,
advanced electronics, indigenous production, supply-chain development, and
Industry 4.0 practices. The summit highlighted the importance of strengthening
domestic manufacturing capabilities and promoting innovation, research,
entrepreneurship, and technological self-reliance in the electronics sector.
The participation enabled students to connect their classroom
knowledge with real-world industrial applications. They gained insights into
the manufacturing processes, technological innovations, industry requirements,
and career opportunities available in the rapidly expanding electronics and
semiconductor sector. Interaction with industry professionals and exposure to
contemporary technologies also helped students understand the skills required
for future employment and research.
Overall, the visit was highly informative and academically
beneficial. It enhanced students’ technical awareness, industrial exposure, and
understanding of India’s vision for a strong and self-reliant electronics
manufacturing ecosystem. The experience will motivate students to pursue
innovation, research, entrepreneurship, and careers in the electronics and
semiconductor industries.
The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Gurmeet Singh, HOD (ECE)
and Dr. Mahender Singh, who facilitated the participation of the students and
encouraged them to engage with industry experts and explore emerging
technological opportunities
