ElixIR-The skill building society of GTBIT

ElixIR – The Skill Building Society is a student-driven community dedicated to enhancing technical, professional, and interpersonal skills among learners. The society aims to create opportunities for students through workshops, hackathons, competitions, and interactive events that promote innovation, creativity, and practical learning. With a vision to build confident and skilled individuals, ElixIR focuses on empowering students with real-world knowledge, teamwork experience, and exposure to emerging technologies.

HackTivate - innovation with responsibility

HackTivate was a 35-hour hybrid hackathon organized by ElixIR – The Skill Building Society, based on the theme of Sustainable Development. The event was conducted in two phases, including a 12-hour online round followed by a 24-hour offline round, where participants collaborated to develop innovative and impactful solutions for real-world challenges. HackTivate provided a platform for students to showcase their technical skills, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities while promoting sustainability-focused innovation.

Judging criteria - On the basis of presentation format and idea inclination with sustainability Round 01 aim - To select the presentation that represent the HackTivate in its best chance.

  Our special guest

 

    Mr. Aman Jindal - MBA Gold Medalist, TEDx Speaker, and two-time national champion of PPT Competitions,     having won multiple hackathons in the past. Apart from social media, works as an Innovation Manager at     Deloitte and have previously interned with Capgemini.

    Dr. Pinaki Chakraborty - Dr. Pinaki Chakraborty received his B.Tech. from Indraprastha University, and his     M.Tech. and Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University. He teaches courses on compiler construction,     operating systems and computer architecture. His area of research includes educational software, human-    computer interaction and societal applications of digital technologies.

   Outcomes and impacts

    HackTivate successfully achieved its objective of promoting sustainable thinking through technology.     Participants gained hands-on experience in solving real-world problems, improved their technical     and collaborative skills, and developed a deeper understanding of sustainability- driven innovation.

    The hackathon strengthened problem-solving abilities, encouraged interdisciplinary collaboration,     and inspired students to build solutions with real-life impact
