The Political Economy of Ethereum – Road to Devcon Delhi
The Department of Electronics and
Communication Engineering (ECE), in association with Fin-Fundaa, Finance
Society of Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT), organized an
insightful event titled “The Political Economy of Ethereum – Road to Devcon
Delhi” on Saturday, 22 August 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the BVS
Auditorium, GTBIT.


The event was organized around the theme
“The Architecture of Truth and Money” and focused on emerging concepts related
to Ethereum, decentralized systems, blockchain technology, information markets,
privacy, security, and the future of money. The programme provided students and
faculty members with an opportunity to understand the technological, economic,
and societal dimensions of decentralized digital ecosystems.


A key highlight of the programme was the
Panel Discussion, which provided an interactive platform for exchanging
perspectives on Ethereum, decentralized finance, Web3 technologies, digital
trust, privacy, cybersecurity, and the evolving role of blockchain in the
future financial ecosystem. The panel discussion encouraged participants to
critically examine the opportunities, challenges, regulatory aspects, and
practical applications associated with decentralized technologies. Students
actively engaged with the panel through questions and discussions, making the
session highly interactive and informative.
The event also emphasized the importance of
interdisciplinary learning by bringing together perspectives from electronics
and communication engineering, finance, blockchain, cybersecurity, and emerging
digital technologies. The discussions helped participants develop a broader
understanding of how technological innovations are influencing financial
systems and digital society.
