ADVISORY FOR STUDENTS, PARENTS AND GUARDIANS
In recent weeks, there have been disturbing reports of increasing incidents of kidnapping and suspicious approaches towards young students across the Delhi–NCR region. The safety and well-being of our students remains our foremost priority and therefore this advisory is being issued as a precautionary and preventive measure.
While educational institutions provide a secure academic environment within campus premises, student safety is equally dependent upon awareness, alertness and responsible conduct beyond the campus. We request all parents and guardians to remain actively involved in monitoring their wards’ movements, schedules and communication, particularly during travel to and from the institute.
Parents and Guardians are advised to:
- aintain regular contact with their children regarding daily schedules and locations.
- Ensure that students share live location while commuting and avoid traveling alonelate in the evening wherever possible.
- Encourage the use of verified transport services and discourage accepting lifts from unknown persons.
- Verify friend circles, tuition locations, coaching centres and extracurricular venues attended by students.
- Keep emergency contact numbers accessible and saved on both the student’s and parent’s phones.
- Educate students about responding firmly and immediately to any suspicious interaction, inducement or request for personal information.
Students are strongly advised to:
- Inform parents/guardians before leaving campus for any non-academic activity.
- Avoid isolated areas, deserted streets and unfamiliar shortcuts, especially after sunset.
- Not share personal details, address, institute ID or travel routines with strangers or on social media platforms.
- Immediately report any suspicious individual, vehicle or incident to parents, institute authorities or local police.
- Travel in groups wherever possible and remain alert during commuting
- Carry a charged mobile phone at all times and keep emergency contacts on speed dial.
The Institute is simultaneously strengthening coordination with local authorities and enhancing campus-level vigilance. However, community awareness remains the strongest preventive safeguard. A vigilant parent, an alert student and a responsive community together create a secure environment.
Safety is not a matter of fear but of preparedness and responsibility. We appeal to all families to treat this advisory with seriousness and to engage in open conversations with their wards about personal safety and situational awareness.
Let us work collectively to ensure that education continues in an atmosphere of security, dignity and peace.
