Jashn-e-Freshers cum Student Induction Program 2025 –
A Day of Festivity, Inspiration & Youthful Energy at GTBIT
Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT) came
alive with colors, music and youthful energy as the institute hosted its
much-awaited Jashn-e-Freshers cum Student Induction Program 2025 on 19th
September. The celebration extended a grand welcome to the new batch of
students, blending tradition with modern vibrancy.




The occasion witnessed the gracious presence of
distinguished luminaries from the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee
(DSGMC), including S. Harmeet Singh Kalka Ji, President, DSGMC and S. Jagdip
Singh Kahlon Ji, General Secretary, DSGMC, Senior Vice President, S.S.
Harvinder Singh KP Ji, S. Gurmeet Singh Bhatia ji, S. Harjeet Singh (Pappa) ji, S. Sukhwinder
Singh Babbar ji along with other respected DSGMC members, esteemed Chairperson,
GTBIT, Bibi Ranjit Kaur ji, Co-Chairman, S. Amarjit Singh ji (Fateh Nagar) and
Director, Dr. Rominder Kaur Randhawa. Their inspiring words motivated the
students to embrace discipline, culture and excellence in their academic
journey. While the Chief Guest, S. Manjinder Singh Sirsa Ji, could not attend
in person, he extended his heartfelt best wishes and blessings for the success
of the event and the bright future of the students. Addressing the students on
the occasion S. Harmeet Singh Kalka Ji, President DSGMC, emphasized the
importance of nurturing values, discipline and cultural roots alongside
technical education. S. Jagdip Singh Kahlon Ji, General Secretary DSGMC,
underlined the role of DSGMC institutions in empowering youth with quality
education and ethical leadership.




Addressing the students on the occasion, Chairperson
Bibi Ranjit Kaur ji emphasized the importance of nurturing values, discipline,
and cultural roots alongside technical education. Dr. Rominder Kaur Randhawa,
Director GTBIT, spoke about fostering innovation, research orientation and
industry-readiness among students.




The day unfolded with a soulful shabad recitation,
addresses by dignitaries, felicitation ceremonies and the release of key
student publications, including Noor – the annual magazine, the technical
newsletter, Goonjan, and the Physics society newsletter Particle Post. Speaking
on the occasion Chairperson Bibi Ranjit Kaur ji highlighted the institute’s
commitment to academic rigor, innovation and holistic development. Dr. Rominder
Kaur Randhawa, Director GTBIT, spoke about fostering innovation, research orientation
and industry-readiness among students. Adding a personal touch, Dr. Seema Singh
conducted an engaging orientation session, introducing freshers to college
culture, opportunities and pathways for holistic growth. Dr. Parsan Kaur, HoD
Applied Science, shared words of guidance and encouragement, inspiring students
to pursue curiosity, scientific thinking and academic excellence.



The cultural segment was a highlight, with mesmerizing
dance performances, soulful musical renditions, stand-up comedy and a
high-energy Bhangra showcase that electrified the atmosphere. Students also
participated enthusiastically in Mr. & Ms. Freshers contests, open mic
sessions and creative talent rounds, reflecting the spirit of camaraderie and
celebration. The campus buzzed with food stalls, interactive fun zones and a
festive carnival-like atmosphere throughout the day.



The celebration culminated with a DJ-led dance and
music jam, where students and faculty joined together, truly embodying the
spirit of togetherness and joy.
The event was hailed as a resounding success, setting
the tone for a year of growth, creativity and achievement at GTBIT.
