The Department of Information Technology successfully organized IGNITE 1.0 on 19 February 2026, marking a significant milestone in promoting innovation and technical excellence within the institution. The fest emerged as a grand success, reflecting the enthusiasm, dedication, and collaborative spirit of students and faculty members.
The event was formally inaugurated by our esteemed Chairperson, Bibi Ranjeet Kaur Ji,, along with Co-Chairperson, Sardar Amarjit Singh Ji, and Director, Dr. Rominder Kaur Randhawa. Their inspiring addresses encouraged students to innovate, lead, and contribute meaningfully to the field of technology.
IGNITE 1.0 featured a total of 15 diverse events, including flagship competitions such as IdeaForge, Innovation Showcase, and Hack with Ignite, along with technical quizzes, coding competitions, and other engaging activities. These events were thoughtfully designed to enhance analytical thinking, creativity, and teamwork among participants.
The fest witnessed an overwhelming participation of 500+ students from our college as well as various other institutions, adding an inter-collegiate competitive spirit to the event.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by a distinguished guest Mr. Ritesh Kumar Agarwal from (Scientist F-DRDO), who appreciated the initiative and motivated students to pursue innovation and technological advancements for national development.
The remarkable success of IGNITE 1.0 was made possible through the untiring efforts of faculty members, organizing committees, student volunteers, as well as the dedicated support of the lab staff and supporting staff, whose behind-the-scenes contributions ensured the smooth and efficient execution of all events.
IGNITE 1.0 was not merely an event; it was a celebration of ideas, innovation, and intellectual growth. The success of this inaugural edition has set a strong foundation for even more impactful editions in the future.
