February 11, 2026
A one-day workshop on “Drone Intelligent Systems” was
successfully organized on 11th February 2026 by Department of
Information Technology, Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology in
collaboration with IHFC – Technology Innovation Hub of IIT Delhi,
established at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi under the aegis of
the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Ministry of Science &
Technology, Government of India.

The workshop was conducted with the objective of providing
students with comprehensive exposure to the rapidly advancing field of drone
technologies and intelligent aerial systems. The program witnessed enthusiastic
participation from students across various branches.

The workshop comprised both theoretical and practical
sessions. The theoretical lectures covered core concepts of drone
intelligent systems, applications, technological advancements, and industry
trends. The practical segment included simulation-based drone training,
enabling participants to understand drone control mechanisms in a virtual
environment. Additionally, students received real-time drone flying training,
offering hands-on experience in operating and maneuvering drones under expert
supervision.

Participants who successfully attended the workshop were
awarded certificates issued by IHFC – Technology Innovation Hub of IIT Delhi,
recognizing their active participation and successful completion of the
training.

The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between academic
learning and industry-oriented technological advancements, equipping students
with practical skills relevant to emerging domains in unmanned aerial systems.
