GTBIT Students and faculty Visit the Parliament
Research and Training institute for Democracies (PRIDE)

A group of ECE
students and faculty from Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT) had
the unique opportunity to visit the Parliament Research and Training institute
for Democracies in New Delhi. The educational visit aimed to provide students
with an insightful understanding of India’s legislative process, democratic functioning,
and media broadcasting within the parliamentary system. During the visit,
students explored the Parliament complex, gaining firsthand knowledge about the
Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha chambers, the Central Hall, and the architectural
grandeur that symbolizes the strength of Indian democracy. The guided tour
offered detailed explanations of how parliamentary proceedings are conducted.
The visit also included an informative session at Sansad TV, where students
observed the behind-the-scenes functioning of India’s dedicated parliamentary
broadcasting channel. They learned about the production process, camera
operations, live telecast management, and the importance of media in
maintaining transparency and public awareness of government activities. Faculty
members accompanying the students appreciated the initiative, stating that the
visit enhanced students’ civic awareness and understanding of the Indian
governance framework. The experience was both educational and inspiring,
fostering a sense of national pride and responsibility among the participants.
The event was organized by Dr. Gurmeet
