As a student aiming to secure admission to GGSIPU (Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University) for a BTech program in 2023, understanding the admission process is of utmost importance. GGSIPU, also known as IP University, follows a comprehensive procedure for selecting candidates for its various programs, including BTech. Let’s dive into the details and shed light on the key aspects of the admission process.

The GGSIPU admission process for BTech courses usually commences in the months of May-June. Aspiring candidates must stay informed and updated with the latest announcements and important dates by regularly visiting the official university website. It is important to note that the admission criteria and process may be subject to change, so keeping track of updates is essential.

The admission process was fairly simple for me as a student. The first step was to register on the website with details such as personal information, academic details and/or if one is part of any minority and one’s details regarding JEE. After that, we had to fill out the admission form and the fee for the admission form. Then many rounds were conducted for admission into IPU, so one had to fill in one’s choices regarding the colleges and wait for the cutoff of each round to come out. If one is allocated a seat in any of the rounds one has the option to finalize one’s seat, give up this seat and go into next round for a chance of a better seat or withdraw one’s admission in case one wants to do so. After one has secured a seat and accepted it one has to report to the college with the required documents to finalize one’s admission and if one is unable to report within the given time one’s admission is considered null and void.  After one has reported and paid the fee for the first year one is done with one’s admission process.

The admission process was very simple for me as explained in the above paragraph and if at any point in time I encountered any problem  I could always call and seek guidance from the helpline number provided by GGSIPU.

GGSIPU Placements: Top Companies and Salaries

Apart from the highest packages, GGSIPU also boasts of a strong average package for its graduates(Last year’s average package was 12LPA). The average salary offered to students varies depending on factors such as their specialization, skills, and performance during the recruitment process. On average, GGSIPU students can expect to secure attractive job offers with salaries that are competitive in the market. Last year around 90% of students at IP University were placed with more than 120 internship opportunities for students during their college courses.
